Class Sign-Up

zane studying latin
Zane, 17, is enrolled in the Carmenta Latin Upper-Division Course.

Latin Course Sign-Up Overview

To sign up for one of our Latin group classes, click the Sign-Up Button next to your class below, then follow the steps for enrollment and payment as presented.

Individual semester classes are all given a number (1 through 4) and a letter (A or B). Each number covers two semesters and so indicates a full year of the course (equivalent to a full year of the subject at an American high school). In other words, the material studied in Latin 1A and Latin 1B is equivalent to the curriculum generally included in the first year of Latin at most US high schools. In the same way, Latin 2A and Latin 2B are together equivalent to the second year, Latin 3A and 3B to the third, and 4A and 4B to the fourth.

(Note: Individual Latin 3B-4B sessions are only held if there is a total enrollment of 5 or more students.)

To sign up for a class, select the "Sign Up" button under the appropriate class level and section. You will be guided through a series of Sign-Up pages—you will first be prompted to pay through PayPal, then be presented with our Sign-Up Form, which must be turned in (fully complete) by the Sign-Up Deadline. If you would like instead to pay by check, please Contact Us, and we will provide you with all necessary payment information.

Tuition for all classes is $775 USD when paid through PayPal ($750 if paid by check).

Class Enrollment Deadlines

Make sure you sign up for your class by the deadline posted at the top of this page.

Students who are enrolling in Latin 1A in the Fall must be fully signed up by the day before the first class of the semester. (We must receive payment for the class—whether by PayPal payment or check—and a completed Sign-Up Form by this date.) Students enrolling in Latin 2A and above must be fully signed up by the sign-up deadline listed on Carmenta School's Course Calendar page.

Carmenta 2017-18 Course Calendar

Class times are subject to the twice-yearly U.S.-daylight-standard-time / daylight-saving-time hour time change. Those who live in a region that doesn’t observe this time change should be aware that for them the time of Spring and Fall classes will shift by one hour mid-semester. The Fall 2017 time change is on Sunday, Nov 5. On this day clocks in observing areas will be set back one hour.

If you live in a region that observes this time change, class will always be held at the times listed above.
